According to Chris Forsberg, the Celtics are about to sign G Delonte West.  He says the deal is most likely for the vet's minimum, but no one knows if it is a guaranteed contract or not.  My guess is no because the Celts already have 14 guaranteed contracts, but we'll see.

Delonte was traded in the deal that brought Ray Allen to Boston, but certainly did a great job here.  I would suspect that most fans will be happy to see him back in the green.

In recent years since his departure from Boston, he has dealt with a wide array of problems from personal health issues to gun charges.  Hopefully, coming back to where his career started will do some good for him.

But as long as he stays away from Paul Pierce's mom, I think he should be good.
