I wake up this morning, and the Boston Herald is reporting that Tom Brady is close to signing a three-year, $58 million extension.  The problem there is that it was written by some baysh I've never heard of and plagiarism extraordinaire Ron Borges (although Borges is pretty good when not plagiarizing).

*Side note: I have to turn up the volume every time I watch Borges on Sports Tonight.  He talks so fucking lightly and it really annoys the shit out of me these days.  Anybody else feel that way?

Then Adam Schefter tweeted his little midget pants off with this, which prompted ESPN to come out with this report.

So the question is: who the hell is right?

Even though I believe Bob Kraft is close to getting Brady's autograph, it's hard to side with the Herald on this one considering it's the Herald and the other reports are from Adam Schefter, who knows his shit, and ESPNBoston.com, which is a pretty legit site.

So my take is that the Pats offered Brady a contract, but he hasn't accepted or declined yet.  But until I hear it from Tom Brady, Bill Belichick, Bob Kraft, or Mike Reiss, I'm considering everything else speculation.
